Our Favourites

One of our favourite hilltop villages, filled with beautiful cobbled streets, wonderful art galleries and charming little boutiques. Make sure to visit Godet, a fantastic family-run perfume house that we absolutely love. There are also some beautiful restaurants overlooking the surrounding hillsides, making it the perfect place to wander around before settling in for a long lunch with a view.

A magical medieval village perched high above the Mediterranean, with beautiful cobbled streets and spectacular views of the coastline. It’s also home to one of our favourite hotels and restaurants, La Chèvre d’Or, where we’ve enjoyed many memorable sunset dinners together. We’d highly recommend making a reservation and enjoying the incredible views as the sun goes down.

One of the most beautiful places we’ve visited together, so much so that we’ve been twice! The Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild is a magnificent pink villa surrounded by nine extraordinary gardens, each with its own unique character and breathtaking views of the Mediterranean.

There’s also a lovely restaurant on-site, making it incredibly easy to spend an entire afternoon getting lost in the gardens, enjoying the scenery and stopping for a leisurely lunch.

A fantastic place to spend the day shopping, exploring and enjoying some wonderful food. The charming Old Town is full of beautiful little boutiques, local markets and fantastic restaurants tucked away among its winding streets.

It’s also home to an incredible harbour, where you can admire some of the world’s most impressive yachts. Perfect for a relaxed afternoon of shopping, followed by a long lunch and a stroll along the waterfront.

If you’re looking for a little Riviera glamour, Saint-Tropez is the place to be! Home to some fantastic beach clubs, including Loulou and the iconic Club 55, it’s the perfect spot to spend an afternoon relaxing in the sunshine with great food, drinks and music.

We particularly love Club 55 for its fantastic fresh food and lively atmosphere. Be prepared to be serenaded, too! When we visited, a band made its way from table to table, singing song requests and making it an afternoon to remember. Be sure to book your beach clubs well in advance, particularly during the summer!

Nice is a wonderful place to spend a day getting lost in the colourful streets of the Old Town, exploring its bustling markets, little shops and fantastic restaurants.

Don’t miss Le Plongeoir, an incredible restaurant perched on a rock above the Mediterranean. It’s a truly unique setting for lunch or dinner and somewhere we’d highly recommend visiting. Be sure to book well in advance, as it’s incredibly popular during the summer.

Known as the perfume capital of the world, Grasse is a beautiful Provençal town surrounded by rolling hills and fragrant flower fields. We’d recommend visiting one of its historic perfume houses, where you can discover how traditional French fragrances are made and even create your own perfume. A lovely place to explore the little streets, enjoy the local cafés and experience a different side of Provence.

The beautiful Provençal village closest to our wedding venue, full of wonderful restaurants, charming cafés and little boutiques. It’s built into cliffside caves, which you can visit. If you’re there early on Tuesdays, there is a morning market. Don’t miss the fantastic rotisserie chicken stall! During summer, there are also Wednesday and Friday night markets, perfect for an evening exploring the village. We’d also recommend a visit to Maison Mirabeau for a tasting of its delicious Provençal rosé. The perfect place to enjoy a little taste of local life.

For those looking for a little adventure, the Gorges du Verdon and Lac de Sainte-Croix are absolutely spectacular. With dramatic limestone cliffs and beautiful turquoise waters, it’s one of the most breathtaking places in Provence.

We’d recommend hiring a kayak or pedalo to explore the gorge, taking a dip in the lake or simply enjoying the incredible scenery. A fantastic day trip and a lovely way to experience the natural beauty of the South of France.
